A Rooster's Tail

We went to Sandy Point Beach tonight because they are releasing water from the reservoir into the river and it was incredible!!! They call it a rooster's tail. Wow, is all I can say! Enjoy the pix and video.

So this blog is especially for Mike, but everyone else might enjoy it to. Today Malauna and I took our kids, all 8 of them to an open house for Motive Power. So we got to walk through the trains and see all the engines and where they made them and all that cool stuff. Here are a few pictures to rub it in, I mean, to show you. Enjoy them, Mike. It sure was cool to see them all!!!

A Stitch...

This is two of my latest projects. I have been doing a lot of the gathered peasant style skirts and dresses lately. The girls all seem to really like them. I don't blame them, they are very comfy and light for summer. I made Clara's dress and Amber's skirt. I really stretched myself mixing the fabrics on Clara's dress. They look great together, but I just don't usually mix to patterns that are so different. ( the light green has little pink hearts on it.) But I really am pleased with the results and she loves that dress, and in the end I guess that is what really counts. = >
More to come. I have been sew busy and am also still working on that very cool thing!! Are you still waiting???!!!!

The View

I looked out the window and what did I see?
Popcorn, popping on the crab apple tree.
Spring has brought me such a nice suprize,
Popcorn popping right before my eyes.
I can take an arm full and make a treat,
a popcorn ball that would smell so sweet.
It really wasn't so, but it seemed to me,
