Potty Training - Day 7

SUCCESS!!!!! Well, sort of. On Friday I was feeling so yucky I just let Clara run around in pull-ups. Which she really liked cause she could take them on and off by herself. She is all about independance!! Anyway, I realized that on Sat. that maybe it wasn't as much of a step backwards as I thought. At least now she would change herself everytime she peed, instead of wearing her diaper around until I changed it. Realization is a big part of potty training, right.
And today before church I caught her holding her breath and asked if she was pooping and she said yes and we ran for the toilet and she pooped in the potty!!! yeah!!!! We were all so excited and so was she to see it all happen and to see that it wasn't such a bad thing after all. So maybe we are going forward. Time will tell.

Potty Training - Day 4

I think I was celebrating too soon. Yesterday was a complete break down of her holding out. She held nothing in!!!! One accident on the way to the park, one while we were at the park, and one again on my kitchen floor. Also, I caught her pooping in her panties outside. Yuck!!!!!
But today, we had a golden moment. She peed in the toilet. Yes, it was a moment to cheer!! Luckily, we had a cheering crowd around her at the time. Maybe that is what she needs to use the toilet, a cheer section. When I potty trained Sara & Tessa we would all go in and then all cheer for the other when they went. Then they would return the favor for me when I went to the bathroom. It is quite something when your twin two year olds are cheering "Yeah, mommy went potty, yeah mommy!" (It's even funner when they do it for Daddy!!!)
After that she stayed dry for a while but she finished out the day went and poopy. I can handle the wet but I really hate cleaning poopy underwear!!! I just keep telling myself "You can do this, you can do this"

Potty Training - Day 2

So I was congratulating myself after passing the first day of potty training my 3 year old with no accidents. She even claims she went potty twice yesterday, although she flushed the toilet before I could get there and see. But she stayed dry. I do think she was holding it in all day, though.
I was expecting more of the same today, not so. Well, she started out the same. We would go and sit on the potty, talk, play, have treats, pass the time, still nothing. But then while we were outside I noticed she paused in her play, of course I asked her if she needed to go potty, she said no and walked away. Then she stopped again and I waited for the tell-tale puddle to appear, but again, nothing. Then she started saying "I pooped" Great!!! So I took her inside and we cleaned her up and the pooppy underware. I would much rather clean up pee than pooppy underware!!! And that is my day so far. Atleast I know there will be no more poop. = > I guess that can be counted as some success.

The Truth is Out

So yes, it is true, as you can tell from the wigget to the right, I am expecting!!!!! We finally told the girls and they told everyone. => They are all very excited and keep hoping for a boy. What are they thinking???? Well, except Clara who pipes in "and a little sister" every time Amber talks about how she would like a baby brother. I don't think Clara really realizes what they are talking about, she just likes to put in her two cents worth. They even have names all picked out. Amber likes Courtney, for a boy.
My due date is Feb. 5th. What a long time away. I am feeling a little better. I just have this aver gen to all food. Which does make it a little hard because I am starving all the time. Doug is even getting back into practice by holding all the babys at church. It is quite cute.
